Information

Colton Heath and Heath Racing are proud to announce Colton has been asked to drive the 7o 410 Sprint Car for Oudman Motorsports for the 2008 Racing Season. Oudman Motorsports consists of  car owner's Roger and  his wife Nian. Roger has raced sprint cars himself but due to his work commitments has had to take on the role of car owner. Another big part of Oudman Motorsports is Roger's brother Allan. The racing team is very similar in structure to Heath Racing, as it is also a family venture, with the help of their sponsors.

The crew chief will be Leo Voigt. Leo was also a driver and has 29 years of racing experience behind him, with several championships on both dirt and asphalt. Colton is exited to be associated with Leo and the Oudman Motorsports Team.

Colton hopes to retain many of his current sponsors in this new venture and is very excited with the prospects of this new team. They will be using a XXX Race Co. chassis and the engine will be from Northwest builder Mark Huson.

The car will be running at Skagit Speedway during their season. Plans are to compete in Dirt Cup, West Coast World of Outlaw events, and Gold Cup at the end of the season. There could also be a 360 motor later in the year to compete at selected Northwest tracks.

Attached is a picture of the 2008 #7o Sprint car with it's new powder coating. Sandblasting was done by Sandblasters, Inc. while the powder coating is from Powder Coatings, Inc. (Thanks to Warren, Deb and John).

The chassis is now ready for Leo, Colton and the team to start assembly.....

Colton has been racing since he was 6.  He started on a quad, move into go karts, then quarter midgets, at 14 he raced a 250cc, and at 15 he stepped up to the 600 cc class at Deming Speedway.  Once he turned 16, he knew he wanted to race open wheel, and on dirt, last 2 years he raced a Sportsman at Skagit Speedway and other NW dirt tracks.

During his Quarter Midgets and Mini Sprint years, he has been awarded Sportsman of the Year, 4 times, Best Appearing 3 times, Most improved and Rookie of the Year twice.

During the 2005 and 2006 seasons, Colton was asked to drive the AC Racing #20 600 for Andrew Chong when he wasn't able to be at the track.  Andrew had soccer conflicts the first part of the season and a couple during the summer, Colton had the opportunity to fill in as their driver, he was also asked to drive for them in the 2005 and 2006 Clay Cup events.  Heath Racing would like to say thank you to Kathie, Randy and Andy for believing and trusting in Colton.

We would like to thank Bill and Teresa Alseth for giving Colton the opportunity to drive their #6 360 Sprint Car this past season at a couple NW tracks.
