In Memory of Steve McElroy a Great Racer and a Super Person

(Evergreen Speedway NASCAR Bomber Driver #84)

Steve passed away Saturday January 21, 2006, while snowmobiling at Stampede Pass with his friends.  Steve was born June 12, 1965, in Seattle, Washington. He was educated in Kirkland, Washington, and graduated from Juanita High School, class of '83'. He attended Lake Washington Voc Tech and graduated with a mechanical certification. He went to work for Birchard and Agee Marine Service and after 17 years, purchased the company. Steve was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed activities such as camping, snowmobiling, and dirt biking. He spent many years Stock Car Racing, from the 300 Enduro to the Saturday Night Bomber Division. He was loved and feared by many... (mostly loved).

Survivors include his loving wife, Rhonda, and beloved son, Justin, of Everett; father, Gene McElroy, of Ferndale, Washington; sisters, Cindy Ryan, of Ferndale, Chris Tauzin, of Arlington, Washington; brothers, Scott McElroy, of Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, Craig Rowalt, of Bothell, Washington, and Ryan Rowalt, of Everett; birth mother, Connie McKee, of Easton, Washington; birth father, Chuck Audal, of Lynnwood, Washington; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Wilmart, of Edmonds, Washington. Steve is also survived by six nephews and three nieces, and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy K. McElroy; and brother, Chuck Rowalt.

 

 


Robert Phillip Suchert

June 9, 1954-March 16, 2007

Bob passed away peacefully at Harborview Hospital ICU in Seattle at 5:05 p.m., Saturday as a result of a tragic bus and motorcycle accident in Everett, WA, on Wednesday, March 14, 2007. He was born in Frankfurt/Main Germany and spent his early years in Philadelphia, PA. The past 40 years he has lived in the Edmonds-Everett area.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Suchert (Brediger); stepson, David Pollaski, wife Vanessa and their children, Luke and Katy. Bob is also survived by his father and mother, Dr. Robert E. and Edeltraud Suchert; his fondest Aunt Edith and Uncle Herb Shramml; sister, Robin Suchert-Jacobson, her son, Robert Suchert-Mitchell and her husband, Kirby Jacobson; his brother, Randy; cousins, Hans and Therese, Herald and Valorie, Rita and Steve, Marina and Paul, Henry and Pam, and all their children; and Bob's pomeranian dogs, Ace and Toni. He is also being mourned by all his Dorda cousins in Austria and Germany.
Bob graduated from Edmonds High School in 1972. He worked as a Honda auto technician in Everett WA, Frankfurt Germany and Las Vegas, NV. He was presently employed for the last five years at Gervasi's Everett Motor Sports as a motorcycle technician and test driver. Bob was very bright and helpful to his friends and relatives alike. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service followed by a reception will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday March 24, 2007, at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship (formerly known as the Crown Hill Wesleyan Church) 9204 11th Avenue N.W. Seattle, 98117 (206) 783-6400.
